THE HOUSE
The guests will lodge in three charming independent flats, each one is fitted
with a well equipped kitchen and central heating, bathroom and satellite
TV. The car garage availability may vary according to the bookings although
it is always available to guest bikes and motorcycles.
OUR SERVICES
In addition to an extensive range of tourist informative material,
we can arrange thrilling canyoning and mountain bike excursions as
well as horse riding, wine and gastro-tours and main cultural and
environmental sites guided visits.
WHERE WE ARE
The Ploncher B&B is an ancient dwelling recently refurbished according
to the local environmental and architectural rules located in a quite
position at the heart of Chiavenna’s historical centre, pretty
much socially and culturally live though.
THE TOWN
The ancient and typical town of Chiavenna is located on the southern
side of the Retiche Alps at the junction of Spluga and Maloja-Julier,
the two major roads that link the Val Padana to the middle Switzerland
and Germany, through the shortest and most comfortable route.
Its whimsical urban layout, its typical house’s architecture
along with its breath taking natural landscapes make the town of Chiavenna
a fascinating and lively location, extremely dynamic culturally and
commercially.
The atmosphere looks quite Mitteleuropean thanks to its inhabitants
liveliness which brights up the local ancient areas making it so famously
appealing and cheerful to the visitors.
Chiavenna’s site is quite strategic and constitutes a perfect
base for both Winter and Summer holidays as it stands just 20 minutes
drive from the well-known Madesimo ski slopes and resorts and from
the romantic lake of Como, not to mention the stunning Engadina ski
slopes and cross-country ski trails, reachable in just 45 minutes
drive.
